Why We Chose BT

One Supplier, One Number To Call

We partner with BT for a simple reason: our customers shouldn't have to navigate a chain of suppliers to get answers. With Comms Protect and BT, there's a clear route to support, backed by the UK's national network.

  1. 1

The UK's own network, not a reseller's reseller

BT owns and runs the infrastructure our broadband, leased lines and voice actually travel over — including the EE mobile network that powers our Hybrid Backup and Ultra Broadband failover.

  2. 2

    Serious money behind security

BT invests £50 million a year researching cyber threats, is the UK's biggest private cybersecurity employer, and monitors traffic around the clock from 16 security operations centres worldwide — that's the protection built into BTnet Security and Ultra Broadband.

  3. 3

    Support that's actually accountable

Every BTnet order comes with a 100% availability SLA and a 5-hour target fix time, backed by a 24/7 UK-based team — not an offshore queue you get lost in.

  4. 4

    One partner, every layer

Broadband, phone lines, leased lines and network security all from the same supplier means fewer finger-pointing conversations when something needs fixing.

BT Broadband

BT Broadband

Reliable business broadband, built to guarantee itself.

BT Approved Partner
EssentialEnhancedProUltra BroadbandSoGEA & Full FibreHybrid Backup

Three tiers, one job — connect the business

Essential keeps costs low with a minimum speed guarantee. Enhanced adds Hybrid Backup and a static IP. Pro adds Complete Wi-Fi Plus, Wi-Fi Security Controls and Prompt Care next-day fix, all as standard.

SoGEA and Full Fibre (FTTP), up to 900Mbps

From Standard Fibre 76 through to Full Fibre 900, sized to what the premises can actually take.

Guest Wi-Fi & 5 million+ EE hotspots

A separate guest network comes as standard, and staff get free access to EE's UK-wide Wi-Fi hotspot network.

Hybrid Backup

If the line drops, connectivity switches automatically to EE's 4G network. Included with Enhanced and Pro, and addable to Essential.

BT Ultra Broadband — for security-conscious businesses

The step-up option: a Cisco Meraki router with corporate-grade firewall, malware protection and intrusion detection built in, up to three Meraki Wi-Fi access points, and 4G backup.

Cloud Voice Express

Cloud Voice Express

The phone line that goes wherever your team goes.

Mobile app callingNumber for lifeNuisance-call blockingVoicemail-to-text

Make and take calls from anywhere

Calls on the business number from the Cloud Voice Express mobile app — with a desk or cordless phone available too.

Keep the number for life

Because it's an IP line, the number moves with the business even if the premises change.

Automatic nuisance-call blocking

Filters calls from over 18,000 known nuisance numbers, plus a personal blacklist of your own.

Voicemail sent straight to text

Voicemails are converted to text and delivered in the app.

Room to grow

Up to three additional lines can be added as headcount grows.

Included as the digital phone line option on any BT Broadband bundle — the right choice if your team mostly needs one number that follows them, not a full call-handling system.

BT Cloud Voice

BT Cloud Voice

A proper phone system, without the phone system.

BasicConnectCollaborateCisco Webex built inCall Analytics

Three feature packs, mix and match per user

Basic suits general-purpose and shared phones. Connect adds three-way calling, Call Director, voicemail and Webex video for 25. Collaborate adds Webex meetings for 100 participants, shared call appearance, and call recording and analytics options.

Built-in Cisco Webex

Video conferencing, screen share and instant messaging in the same platform as calling.

Hunt groups, call transfer, auto attendant

Calls automatically routed to the right person, with an automated receptionist available at site level.

Call Analytics

Live dashboards and wallboards covering call volumes, queues and team performance.

A wide choice of hardware

Yealink, Poly and Cisco desk phones, DECT cordless handsets, and wired or wireless headsets.

Always sell Cloud Voice to work with your own leased line or business broadband first — they're designed to work together end to end, with QoS and Voice Prioritisation built in.

For teams who need more than a line that follows them — shared call handling, meetings, and reporting across the whole team.

100% availability SLA

A market-leading target-availability guarantee, a 5-hour target fix time and a 24/7 UK-based team.

BTnet Security included as standard

Cisco Meraki-powered firewall, intrusion detection and prevention, content filtering and anti-malware, all built in — customers can opt out.

BTnet Wi-Fi

An optional dedicated Wi-Fi 6 network layered onto the leased line, wired or mesh.

Managed SD-WAN for multi-site businesses

Cisco Meraki or BT Managed Fortinet SD-WAN, with centralised routing, policy and application control across every site.

For businesses where downtime has a real cost — call centres, multi-site operations, anyone running Cloud Voice or SIP at scale.

Which Is Right For You

Find The Fit That's Right For You

Small, single site, needs a phone that follows one or two people.

BT Broadband (Essential/Enhanced) + Cloud Voice Express

Growing team, needs call handling, meetings and reporting across several people.

BT Broadband / Ultra Broadband + BT Cloud Voice

Security-conscious, wants protection built in rather than buying separate tools.

BT Ultra Broadband (or BTnet Security on a leased line)

Larger or multi-site, can't tolerate downtime, needs guaranteed bandwidth.

BTnet (+ BTnet Wi-Fi, + Managed SD-WAN if multi-site)

FAQs

Common Questions Straight Answers

Can we keep our existing leased line provider's IP address ranges?

If your current leased line is already provided by BT, yes. If you're switching from another leased line provider, their IP block generally can't be carried over to a new BT circuit — for new installs, BT issues a clean, dedicated IPv4 range as standard.
